My source of strength is where the waves rise. My name, Marina, translates from Latin as „of the sea” (feminine form of marinus). Since childhood, I’ve felt this connection. The water pulled me, from lighthouses to ocean depths, from surfing to freediving.

When I immerse myself in water, I feel weightless. Falling is impossible. I feel it enveloping and gently caressing the body. In the silence of the underwater world, I hear millions of other worlds within myself. In this silence, new worlds are born.
