"A person is like soft silver metal. Their character is shaped by rough bends, fractures, intricate connections, and constant interactions with the external world."
My name is Maryna Haretskaya. I was born in a small town in Belarus in 1989. Since childhood, I have been interested in creativity, crafting jewellery from beads, weaving with straw, sewing costumes, and staging theatrical productions.
External circumstances compelled me to delve deeper and deeper into myself, where in silence, my unique world took shape.
A closer connection with silver jewellery began through a historical club, where as a teenager, I engaged in the reconstruction of clothing, jewellery, and the lifestyle of medieval England.
Dreaming of becoming an archaeologist, I delved into history at the library to learn the details of ancient ornaments, mythical talismans, and amulets.
Even back then, I could spend hours looking at ancient engravings depicting costumes and jewellery, as well as museum excavations. To this day, museums and libraries remain my favourite places for relaxation and inspiration.
At the age of 16, together with a partner, I created my experimental theater where I expressed myself through costume design and choreography for performances. I communicated with this world through fire and pyrotechnic shows. This path led me to several years of traveling the world as a circus artist.
Taiwan in 2010 was where my journey into the study of Eastern philosophy and the mysteries of ancient worlds began
17 years in the stage costume and jewellery design industry.
Creating costumes for my team marked the beginning of a new direction in my life. Within a few years, we began dressing artists around the world. In just a few years, we collaborated with artists such as Muse, Pink, Miley Cyrus, Heidi Klum, Pall Oskar, Daddy Yankee, and others. We also worked on projects for Eurovision, BMW, and Disney. For me, design is a means of expression, a way to shape my own statement.
For over 12 years now, I have been designing stage costumes for artists around the world. It's been an incredible journey into the world of show business, bright lights, and new technologies.
In parallel, over many years, I have been creating silver jewellery for myself. As talismans and amulets, as unique pieces that cannot be found elsewhere. These included earrings, pendants, and even engagement rings. All three of my engagement rings were designed by me)
Jewellery grounds me. It helps me to be present in the moment. If a stage costume is created to tell another artist's story, then a silver piece of jewellery tells mine.
In 2020, a significant event reshaped my life, compelling me to reconstruct it from the ground up. It marked the beginning of a journey of self-discovery and renewal.
In the spring of 2021, in Warsaw, sitting in an office bathed in evening light, a pendulum was born on a sheet of paper. It became the first piece of jewellery for the brand, symbolising the beginning of a new life. As a symbol of personal balance, resilience, and inner strength. It serves as a symbol of a voice that is important to be heard by others.
This marked the beginning of a journey where my jewellery started speaking to the entire world.
"Gorechik Jewellery is words reborn in silver. It's the opportunity to see the inner world of a person for whom boundaries do not exist."
