History behind Gorechik

History behind Gorechik

Gorechik was born in Warsaw from the first sketch of pendulum in spring 2021 by artist and entrepreneur Maryna Goretskaya. Today the silver pieces of art are moulded and polished in a local jewellery workshop, hand picked in the office and shipped to You with care. Here is a history from the creator of Gorechik silver ocean about her brand:

«I've always had a passion for studying jewellery. I am drawn to excavations and mysteries, intrigued by ancient cultures and the meanings embedded in symbols from different traditions. I love museums and libraries. I can spend hours among the exhibits, examining antique jewellery display cases or painted necklaces in the works of renowned artists. Old books and engravings all contribute to my creative process.

Water is my element, and I find my strength where the waves surge. My name, Maryna, translated from Latin, means "maritime."

The close connection between my love for history and excavations, and my affinity for the seas and oceans, has inspired me to create jewellery with fluid and tactile forms reminiscent of underwater treasures. Drops and movable elements are central to my designs.

My strength lies in my ability to translate the essence of this element, its nature, reborn in silver metal. It embodies polished smoothness and gentle imperfection.

History

In my jewellery, I amalgamate images from around the world, weaving together different cultures, traditions, and symbols from ancient times to a unique and contemporary piece. It's a timeless adornment.

Everything has meaning. I convey my sensations, my belief in what I feel around each piece of jewellery. I create it.

The union of the ancient and the present gives birth to the eternal. This is my slogan.

Philosophy

The simplicity of my jewellery design and the perfection of the metal from which they are crafted form a symbiotic relationship. There's mystery and depth, purity and sincerity. Each item harbors its divinity, its unique charm.

Sacred geometry. The mystery of creation providing a mystical experience.

Jewellery is my way of speaking, important reminders to myself, and a means of interacting with the world. It is a reflection of my inner world, my experiences, my feelings, and my thoughts.

"Unpretentious simplicity, simultaneously possessing mighty power and beauty that comes with time, serenity in solitude." - Wabi-Sabi

Tactility

The true essence of jewellery cannot be described in words but can only be felt through contact with the form and soul of the pieces. They are created to be touched, born of constant contact.

The balance of movable elements, drops, and substantial details. The harmony of skin and noble metal».

With love to touch,
Maryna
