What do you see?

What do you see?

Looking at these paintings, I don't see myself in them. I don't see Maryna, who lives in Warsaw, with all her ups and downs. I don't project onto a living person, sexualizing her.

For me, each curve of the body in these paintings is a brushstroke, a part of the story, a part of the meaning, a union of light and shadow. It's fluidity and flow, it's the perfection of living flesh and frozen metal. It's the beauty of the moment enhanced by the sparkle.

For me, creating such paintings is ART. It's about filling and transforming into an art object.

It's about courage, tenderness, inhale and exhale. It's about truth, without unnecessary words. It's about the moment where nothing needs to be explained.

I see beauty in the combination of the body and flowing silver forms. I enjoy selecting and arranging jewellery for the collage.

Collaborating with the incredible photographer Anna Wardejn has given me inspiration and an entire universe of blank canvases on which I can now create.

Gorechik jewellery is an art gallery, my own pure space for creativity. My universe where I can speak about what matters and showcase the beauty of my inner world. A place where I speak boldly but don't explain.
